Is Heaven in the Yellow Pages?

Mommy went to Heaven, but I need her here today,
My tummy hurts and I fell down, I need her right away.

Operator can you tell me how to find her in this book?
Is heaven in the yellow part, I don't know where to look.

I think my daddy needs her too, at night I hear him cry.
I hear him call her name sometimes, but I really don't know why.

Maybe if I call her, she will hurry home to me.
Is Heaven very far away, is it across the sea?

She's been gone a long, long time she needs to come home now!
I really need to reach her, but I simply don't know how.

Help me find the number please, is it listed under "Heaven"?
I can't read these big big words, I am only seven.

I'm sorry operator, I didn't mean to make you cry,
Is your tummy hurting too, or is there something in your eye?

If I call my church maybe they will know.
Mommy said when we need help that's where we should go.

I found the number to my church tacked up on the wall.
Thank you operator, I'll give them a call.

I'll Be There

What can I do for you my friend, so very far away?
What words can ease your troubles; What ever could I say?
Help me lift these burdens that lay heavy on your heart.
Know that I am here for you, though we are far apart.
Close your eyes and picture low you think your life should be.
What is it that you're feeling?
What is it that you see?
Whenever you feel troubled, and you wish it all would end...
Return to this happy place and know that I'm your friend.
Know that I am ready, to answer if you call
And surely I will be there to lift you when you fall.

Don't be afraid to come to me for a shoulder or a prayer
Whenever you need someone, close your eyes and I'll be there.
Close your eyes and picture how you think your life should be.
What is it that you're feeling; what is it that you see?

Whenever you feel troubled and you wish it all would end...
Return to this happy place and know that I'm your friend

From Just A Single Kiss

Tell me what you’re thinking, tell me how you feel

Tell me that the joy I hold for you is something real

I just don’t understand how you make me feel this way

How I tingle when you’re near me, and I long for you each day

I wonder how it’s possible to care for you like this

I wonder how I got this way from just a single kiss

Thoughts of you just linger each and every day

I watch you from across the room, and hope you look my way

The gentle way you hold my hand, the twinkle in your eye

The firm but loving hug you gave, the night you said goodbye

I know I want you in my life each and every day

But that is just impossible; you live so far away

Take comfort in just knowing that I am here for you

And I hope in just some tiny way, you want me with you too

When We Meet

I wonder if you see that moon tonight, so beautiful and bright

I wonder if you’ll take some time to think of me tonight

I think about the meeting that we will soon arrange

And wonder how we’d make it work, and how our lives will change

As I  sit in dream state with a thoughtful looking glare

I think of your past relationships, and hope that I compare

Hope that I compare with the one you’re looking for

Or will our meeting falter and you show me to the door

I just cannot imagine how I could disappoint your dear

All the time we talked tonight, I wished that you were here

Time will only tell, and I can hope and pray

That I will meet and hold you close on that important day

When you see the moon at night, know that I do too

And know that I am sending hugs through it from me to you
